Our team from Roy Quinton Funeral Directors have been busy raising money for the MS Therapy Centre.
Funeral Arranger Jill Holmes organised a charity fashion show where clothing and accessories were modelled from fashion retailer Wysteria Lane, Shrewsbury.
Over 70 tickets were sold and each guest was welcomed with a glass of prosecco on the decking area by the canal whilst listening to the choir, Village Vocals, who gave their time for free.
After the show, the Mayoress, Mrs Elaine Hadley-Howell, drew the raffle, with prizes generously donated by local businesses. There was then time for guests to buy the clothes, jewellery, bags and hats which had been modelled, as well as chocolates from a local chocolatier and aromatherapy oils.
Jill said: “It was an amazing evening with glorious weather. We raised a total of £986.96 for the MS Therapy Centre which provides advice and support to those suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.
“I was overwhelmed with the generosity from the community and hope that the funds we raised will help the centre to continue providing vital support.”
